We are v. excited to introduce you to SHAME, one of London’s best new bands. Formed by five 19 year-old school friends, the band first broke out from their local DIY scene via word-of-mouth. Notorious for their visceral and exhilarating live show, Shame were booked to play Pitchfork Paris before they had released a single song. In 2016, they stage-crashed Glastonbury, only to be invited back to play the following year. Their debut single ‘The Lick’ comes with a rumbling, frenetic bassline and razor-sharp wit. Follow-up single ‘Visa Vulture’ is a vicious indictment of Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May, disguised as an indie love song. Politically-charged and uncompromising in their ethos, Shame are experts in the art of not-giving-a-fuck.
