Eat with us at Laneway 2017! We love quality food just as much as our music, and this year we’re taking it up a notch with another epic range of culinary delights and refreshing beverages. Here’s a small glimpse of what we’ve got lined up...

LUCKY CHANS

A self-described ‘international man of mystery’, Luck Chan is the polyester suit-wearing mover and shaker of William Street laundries. No one really knows where he came from – or where he’s going. Lucky Chan’s Bao Bar is a sneaky extension of his love affair for fluffy, dumpling pillows filled with the most tantalising of flavours. Now, Chan's food addiction can be shared by all at Laneway Festival Fremantle where the Bao Bar will be in full swing.

HEADS WILL ROLL

Returning in 2017 with their pop up restaurant, “Heads Will Roll" is a collaboration between Perth food institutions Old Faithful Bar & BBQ and Clarence's. They are experts in creating a small social oasis away from the main festival activities and providing guests with quality and affordable food options in a low stress, casual dining environment. You can expect to see some new offerings on the menu as well as old favourites such as the pulled pork bun and smoked brisket reuben.

EAT NO EVIL

Their mission is simple: to create a food experience that brings people together, breaks down barriers and gives an interaction with local ingredients and dishes that will inspire you to try something new and really think about what you’re eating. Eat No Evil combine fresh seasonal produce with simple cooking techniques to create sexy food. Their street style canape offerings focus on local, sustainable and free range produce. Oh, and they are (mostly) gluten free!

PAPA B’S TORTAS

New kids on the block Papa B’s Tortas specialise in Central American influenced food. They use the freshest, local produce to deliver their Yucatan region inspired street-style food, with both vegetarian and vegan options. They do a mean ceviche (served in a half coconut no less) as well as marinated chicken smoked with applewood , Pig N Pickle (slow braised pork and pineapple roll) and more. This is tasty Central American cuisine at its best.

THE RARE FLOWER

The Rare Flower is a family-owned and operated food truck specialising in authentic Hungarian cuisine. Flavours of Hungary melts into recipes with offerings including langos - a fried variety of flatbread with sweet and savoury toppings, chicken paprika with dodolle (fried Hungarian potato dumplings), grilled Hungarian sausage hot dogs, spicy fries with home-made sauces and fresh salads with homemade dressings. They use traditional family recipes and are also proudly environmentally friendly, using all bio-degradable packaging materials.

GREEK STREATS

Greek Streats may be new to the food truck scene but their kebabs have been the talk on campus for quite some time. Curtin Uni alumni will be very familiar with Georges Kebabs, who have been been satisfying the hunger of students there for over 20 years. Now they are taking their infamous kebabs on the road with a menu featuring souvas, snack packs and our personal favourite, the feta and herb fries.

THE WOODEN BOX CART

The Wooden Box Cart is a unique food trailer bringing fresh, locally sourced, in season produce to create mouth watering dishes. With an ever changing menu, The Wooden Box Cart offer modern-creative and traditional styles of home cooking. You can expect to see dishes such as tortillas, stuffed potato skins, chicken garlic croquettes, peri peri chicken, homemade chilli bean nachos, acai bowls, 23cm long waffle sticks and more.

MACK DADDYS NEW YORK SLICE

Mack Daddy’s is Perth’s Premier New York Style Pizza Joint, bringing you the biggest, baddest pizzas in town. Their delicious pizza slices are curated with the softest cheese and freshest pizza toppings, and to make it all the more worthwile, topped with Mack Daddys special sauce. They serve their pizzas by the slice, aka the BIG slice. Make sure you try Mama Macks Margherita, Big Tony’s Pepperoni, The Baller or home made treats such as their meatballs and Italian sausage.

Describing themselves as “Indian-ish” style street food, Tikka Tango have quickly established themselves as the most creative Western meets Indian fusion in the Western Australian food truck game. Serving up delish delights like slow cooked curry, lamb paratha tacos, chicken curry and chips and our top pick, The Tango Box (chicken tikka, lemon coconut rice and salad) Tikka Tango has something for everyone.

JUMPLINGS TASTY DUMPLINGS

Jumplings is Perth’ s best known dumplings van truck serving fresh Japanese style pan fried dumplings. The chicken, duck and vego varieties are menu staples, alternating with prawn, chilli crab and scallop offerings. Also on offer are udon noodles, cabbage and coriander, topped with homemade chilli and truffled ponzu sauces. Made from as many local ingredients as they can source, Jumplings certainly live up to the hype. Yummy stuff!

Freo locals will be no stranger to Sweetlips, well known for serving up the best Fish & Chips in town. Choose from a wide variety of Fresh Fish Fillets, cooked just the way you like it. THE JUICIST

The Juicist make raw juice in the most pure form, from farm to bottle with as little interference as possible. By eliminating the middle man and focusing on seasonality and abundance, they are creating a sustainable supply chain that supports farmers and allows them to provide REAL produce that is ripe, rich and fresh. Experience the true taste of Spain. Kamal’ s Quarter is dedicated to providing excellent, authentic Spanish food – paellas, tapas, pintxos and more cooked right here in Western Australia. Their philosophy is simple, to use the freshest, most authentic ingredients to create fabulous paellas and delicious tapas. Provenance is paramount to everything they cook, their rice is from the Navarra region of Spain, and the earthy smokey paprika comes from La Vera where farmers still roast the red capsicums over wood fires.

Fremantle based La Paleta have made a quite a name for themselves around town with their hand-made iced treats inspiredby traditional Mexican paleterias. La Paleta use all natural ingredients with an emphasis on seasonal produce and quirky flavours. Cool yourself down between sets and pop by their stall for a taste sensation (or two!).

GARY’S DINER

Gary’s Diner food truck is fresh on the streets of Perth. The truck, affectionately called The Gary, specialises in delivering the classic cheeseburger. Pretty simple yet tasty stuff, the burger features a brioche bun, Harvey beef patty, melty cheese, house dill mayo, house pickle, tomato sauce, cos lettuce and fresh tomato. Make sure you check out their Curly fries also.

SABROSO CANTINA

New kids on the block Sabroso Cantina are offering a solid selection of Sliders & Tacos (spicy pulled pork, slow cooked beef), Zuchini fritters (gluten free and vegan), both served with homemade slaw and corn chips. Also on offer is Mexican Street corn and 99% fruit slushies.
