Brisbane & Sydney Laneway this weekend! Melbourne almost sold out
We’re still coming down from the weekend’s sold-out Laneway Festivals in Singapore and New Zealand. So much fun. The Australian tour starts this Saturday, read on for all the detail.
LANEWAY FESTIVAL BRISBANE
Saturday 31 January, Brisbane Showgrounds, Bowen Hills
The weather’s looking pretty good, the revamped site is A+ and the tour heads to Brisbane in just three days.
We’re upping the game in the food department, with this year's eats coming from some our favourite food trucks and restaurants, including Vira Lata, Red Robin, Juan More Tacos, Govinda's, The Locale and much more. Prepare your eating plan before heading to the festival here.
Shoppers can get stuck into Suitcase Rummage, a mini-scaled market with giant rewards; come for a bargain, a swap, or an old fashioned haggle. Jet Black Cat Records, the music lovers wonderland, also returns, and will host a range of vinyl signing sessions by Laneway acts (free with purchase).
It wouldn’t be Brisbane Laneway without The Outpost Stage (Weird Noise) with beats, jams and general noise brought to you by a collective of Brisbane’s finest DJs. Tucked away under the showgrounds grandstand, it’s the perfect place to shake it in between sets.
dwdc designs bring together another theme team of artists, performers, animators and wordsmiths to activate the new site with colour, art & installation. The talents of Darren O’Brien, Barek, Rob Corless, Carmel Debreuil, Lucinda Wolber, Ky Curran, Nickole Webb, Char Chamez, Soraya del Castillo, Jo O’Toole, Sam Wilkinson will be on show.
Party on after the festival at the official after-party with Jung Le DJ (DJ set), Violent Soho (DJ set), Dune Rats (DJ set) at The Brightside. Tickets and details here.
